This month’s last Thursday promises showers of great poetry and music. We invite you to Edinburgh’s Wash Bar to experience it all live! We are delighted to bring you the stimulating work of Robbie Anndra MacLeòid, open mic readers Wanderlust Women and Colin Herd. Famous house band, Dekoy, will blend their own musical layers and Shore Poet, Martin MacIntyre, will be our host.
The When & the Where:

The Wash Bar (on The Mound) 11-13 N Bank St, Edinburgh EH1 2LP
Admission: Entrance charge will be £7.50 (waged) and £5 (concession) which will include 1 raffle ticket. The raffle ticket will also be your entrance receipt. (There will be a chance to buy another raffle ticket or two … for the famous lemon cake!)
We’ll be using our brand new card machine but it may not hurt to bring cash, in case you’d like to buy a book!
Colin Herd is a poet and Lecturer in CW at University of Glasgow. His books include Too Ok (BlazeVOX 2011), Glovebox (Knives Forks and Spoons, 2013), Click & Collect (Boiler House, 2017) Swamp Kiss (Red Ceilings 2018) and You Name It (Dostoyevsky Wannabe 2019). He is the editor of Edwin Morgan Centenary Collection (2020) and co-editor with Sam Small of the two volume All Becomes Art (2022) and with Ruthie Kennedy and Tommy Pearson – Glasgow Cities (2022).

Robbie MacLeòid is a writer and academic, who works in Scottish Gaelic (Gàidhlig) and English. He has been published as a poet, songwriter, and short story writer, and has won awards for writing, game design, and film making. His work can be found in Gutter, New Writing Scotland, 404 Ink, and STEALL, amongst other places.
